GMEDC Calls for Regional Priority Project Information

Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation (GMEDC) is partnering with the Two Rivers Ottauquechee Regional Commission (TRORC) and our area towns to develop a list of Priority Projects for state and federal funding eligibility.

The Priority Project process is going on in each region in the state and the final product is provided to the Agency of Commerce & Community Development (ACCD) and will be shared with other funders for consideration in making grant awards.

Eligible projects must have an economic development nexus and should demonstrate the following:

  • Purpose & benefit to the region
  • Be prepared to get underway, if funded
  • Principals have demonstrated experience with similar projects
  • Supports identified community/regional economic/development goals
  • Project budget exists with identified sources/uses and a demonstrated funding gap
  • Job creation and/or retention

Step 1 for consideration is to complete the Project Information Form – available HERE.

Completed Project Information Forms must be received by GMEDC by December 6th, 2021.

Upon receipt, completed Project Information Forms will be evaluated by GMEDC and TRORC according to the Regional Priority Projects Scoring Matrix which can be viewed HEREThe top ten projects will then be submitted to ACCD and posted on our websites.

Going forward, the Priority Project Process is intended to be an annual exercise. Projects that emerge in between cycles may complete the form and submit for consideration and incorporation into an amended list, if appropriate.
