Veteran Services programs aimed to help veterans secure employment.

Resume building, interview preparation, local job fairs, and more through the Vermont Department of Labor's Workshops.

Vermont's Refugee and Immigrant Employment Support provides free employment resources (resume development, training programs, job search assistance) and other supports (transportation, new certifications, health/medical exams, translation services).

The Registered Apprenticeship Program provides individuals with hands-on experience and on-the-job training in an industry of their choosing.

Teacher & Adult Ed. Programs

• Upper Valley Educators Institute (UVEI) – Prepares educators for leadership roles in schools

• Osher Lifelong Learning Institute – Educational programs for adults at Dartmouth



• Vermont Adult Learning – Tutoring (basic reading, writing, math), GED preparation, English as a second language, bridge to college, and life skills programs

Career & Technical Training

• Hartford Area Career and Technology Center – Hands-on training in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, transportation, business, and health career sectors
• River Valley Technical Center – Day and night courses in industrial trades, culinary arts, carpentry, business management
• NH Works Office – Education and training resources at no or minimal cost
• Vermont State University – Programs in electrical and plumbing apprenticeship, manufacturing, healthcare

Higher Education

• Vermont State University – Programs in electrical and plumbing apprenticeship, manufacturing, healthcare
• Dartmouth College  - The Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies offers masters and doctoral degrees across a broad range of programs.
• Community College of Vermont – Affordable and flexible higher education to Vermonters
• River Valley Community College – Small, rural community college in Claremont; only institution in NH offering Allied Health and Health Science programs.

Employer-Sponsored Training

• Dartmouth Health Career Institute (DHCI) – Programs for Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Nurse Assistant, and more!
• Hypertherm Technical Training Institute (HTTI) – Nine weeks of paid training for machine operators; graduates receive 22.5 college credits and begin work at Hypertherm manufacturing facilities.
